AMHERST, Mass. - Kevin Leveille (Delmar, N.Y.) was named the ECAC Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday. Leveille helped the Minutemen to a 14-13 overtime victory over Syracuse on April 26. It is the second time he has won the award this season.

Leveille, who is a finalist for the Tewaaraton Award given annually to the nation's top player, scored four points (3 g, 1 a) to lead the Minutemen past the Orangemen, 14-13. His second goal at the 2:49 mark of the first quarter was his 150th career point, and he notched his 100th career goal 46 seconds into the fourth quarter to tie the game at 10-10. He currently has 44 points (29 g, 15 a) on the season. His 100 career goals rank eighth on the all-time list and his 152 points is 12th on the career charts. Leveille's seven goals against Stony Brook on March 1 is tied for the highest total in the country this season, and his 10 points in the same game are the highest single-game total to date. He also dished out six assists versus Albany to rank third in the country in single-game assists.

The No. 3-ranked and 12-1 Minutemen will try to win their third straight ECAC title on Saturday, May 3, at Rutgers. The Scarlet Knights are 9-4 and ranked No. 8 in the country. Face-off is slated for 1:00 p.m.
