Massachusetts Soccer Academy Announces Dates

February 27, 2003 | Men's Soccer

Feb. 27, 2003

Here are the FINALIZED dates and prices for the 2003 summer camps offered by the Massachusetts Soccer Academy.

* April Break 04/21 - 24 $90
* Advanced Week: 07/13 - 17 $425 (overnight)
* Co-Ed Half Day Clinic: 07/14 - 18 $105
* Co-Ed Day Camp: 07/21 - 25 $175 (half day option) (lunch provided)
* Elite Clinic: 08/01 - 03 $195 (overnight)

The April School Break Clinic is a Co-Educational Half-Day Camp designed for all players: beginners, intermediate and advanced. Players will be grouped by both age and skill level so that each child is challenged but not overwhelmed. A "games" approach to teaching individual technique will incorporate small-group tactics to further develop each player.

The Co-Ed Day Camp will be offered 07/21 - 25. This camp is designed for players of all soccer abilities from the ages of 6-15. A related Co-Ed Half-Day Camp will be offered 07/14 - 18 and is run along the same guidelines as the Day Camp.

The Advanced Boys Programs (Boys Elite Weekend Camp and Boys Advanced Camp) are constructed as an intense program featuring some of the best players in the Massachusetts and New England area. Along with sports nutrition, sports psychology and strength & conditioning lectures, these two camps will target functional training by position, advanced technique, tactical sessions, small-sided games and eleven-a-side scrimmages. Both camps are aimed for players dedicated to soccer and who wish to take it to the next level. The Boys Advanced Camp will be held 07/13 - 17 and the Boys Elite Weekend Camp will be held from 08/01 - 03. Both these camps will have past and present UMass soccer players who will answer any questions that campers may have about playing at the collegiate level and beyond. There is also the option to have the whole team come to camp and be coached as a team, focusing primarily on tactical development and improvement of team weaknesses.

Finally, please check our fall 2003 schedule which will be posted soon to see if you and/or your team would like to come and watch the team defend the Atlantic 10 Regular Season Championship. We are very excited about our schedule, especially the exhibition game versus St. John's on August 23rd at Szot Park Chicopee. We would love to see you at the game.

If you or any of your players have any questions, please call 413.545.3544/4341 or check our camp web site at:
