Hockey to Host a Family Night on Saturday, Nov. 3
November 02, 2001 | Hockey
Massachusetts enters the weekend with a 2-2-0 overall record and a 1-0-0 Hockey East record. The Minutemen travel to Providence to face the Friars in a league game Friday night before returning to the Mullins Center for Saturday night's game. UMass is coming off a 4-3 victory over the Friars this past Sunday at Schneider Arena in Providence.
The home game against Northeastern is part of Massachusetts hockey alumni weekend. There will be an alumni game starting at 2:00 p.m. in the Mullins Center. Also part of the weekend will be a ceremony honoring Pat Keenan, the all-time leading scorer in UMass hockey history. Keenan will be honored with a ceremony prior to the start of the game against Northeastern. He will also be honored during the first intermission of the game along with some of his fellow teammates from the 1971-72 ECAC Championship team.
The Northeastern game is also "Family Night" at the Mullins Center. A family can purchase a package that includes four tickets to the game, four sodas and four popcorns for just $25. It is a savings of $19. Family Ticket packages can be purchased at the UMass Athletic Ticket Office located in the Mullins Center Box Office.
