Sept. 25, 2000
The University of Massachusetts men's lacrosse team will host a fall tournament sponsored by Brine on Sunday, Oct. 15 at Garber Field and Lower Boyden. The tournament will feature regional powers Army, Brown, Dartmouth and UMass.
There will be a suggested donation of $2.00 for admission with all the money raised going to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Employees Charitable Campaign (COMECC).
"The tournament gives fans a chance to see some great lacrosse and help out some great causes," said UMass head coach Greg Cannella. "We as a program want to give back to the community that always supports us throughout the year. Hopefully this event will serve as a good way to raise money for COMECC."
Each team will play a pair of games starting at noon and 2:30 p.m. UMass will host Dartmouth in the first game at Lower Boyden and Army in the second game at Garber Field.
