UMass tied the game 1:51 into the second period when senior captain Nathan Sell (Pembroke, Ont.) took a feed from junior defenseman Joey Culgin (Framingham, Mass.) and converted for the goal. Nizwantowski?s game-winner ? the first goal of his collegiate career ? came early in the third period when he intercepted a clearing pass in the Providence defensive zone and walked in alone on goal and scored.
