Faris El-Ali
Faris El-Ali joined the University of Massachusetts Sports Performance staff as a sports performance coach in July, 2017. In this role, Faris is responsible for the development of the women’s basketball, rowing, baseball and swimming and diving programs. Moreover, he will continue to assist Director of Sports Performance Brian Phillips and the football program.

Previously, Faris served as a strength and conditioning assistant at the University of Kentucky, where he worked primarily with the Wildcats’ baseball, softball and women’s basketball programs. Prior to his time at the University of Kentucky, he also served as a Sports Performance Intern at Appalachian State University and Guilford College.

While lettering on the football team, Faris received his bachelor’s degree in health sciences from Guilford College, followed by his master’s degree in exercise science from Appalachian State University.
