Katie Moses
Katie Moses enters her second year on the Massachusetts women’s lacrosse staff in 2026, serving as the program’s offensive coordinator.

In her first season in Amherst, Moses’ offense led the nation in points and assists per game and finished second in scoring offense. The Minutewomen scored 320 goals – their most goals since 2022. Their 16.84 scoring average also marked their highest since 2021. Kassidy Morris wrapped up her stellar career as the program’s all-time leader in goals (247) and second in points (322). Her 104 points on the season were also a program record. Morris was named All-ECAC to go with her first team All-MAC honors. She finished fourth nationally in goals per game (3.89).

Two other attackers earned first team All-MAC honors as Dylan Lyons emerged to post 79 on the season behind 55 goals and 24 assists, capped off by a career-high five goals and eight points in the NCAA Tournament at Navy. Ava Connaughton had 72 points via 33 goals and 39 assists while Katie Peterson also eclipsed 50 points with 29 goals and 22 assists.

As a team, UMass finished 16-3, highlighted by a 12-game winning streak while going a perfect 9-0 against MAC opponents in UMass’ first season in the conference. In the NCAA Tournament, Massachusetts played an instant classic against sixth-seeded Navy, leading for long stretches and fighting back from a late third-quarter deficit to pull even. The Midshipmen scored the game-winning goal in the final minute, but it was a sign that UMass was one of the nation’s best teams. The Minutewomen went on to be ranked 23rd in the final IWLCA National Ranking, while coming in 25th in the KANE Women’s DI Media Poll and final NCAA RPI.

Moses joined the UMass women's lacrosse staff as an assistant coach in August 2025. An innovative and experienced coach, Moses brings a decade of expertise at the high school, club and collegiate levels.

Moses came to Amherst after serving as the Head Varsity Lacrosse Coach at East Longmeadow High School since 2019. Over her last three seasons there Moses accumulated a 52-13 overall record including a program record 19-4 mark during the 2024 campaign. Moses coached East Longmeadow’s first USA Lacrosse All-Americans, with at least one student athlete earning the distinction in each of the last three seasons. The Western New England University alumna finished her time with East Longmeadow with back-to-back Class A Western Massachusetts Championships, the first two such honors in program history.

Moses also spent time on the sideline at both Western New England and Christopher Newport University where she handled player development, recruiting, scouting and offensive strategy among other responsibilities. During her time at Western New England Moses helped the women’s lacrosse program to a combined 32-7 record across two seasons as an assistant coach and the offensive coordinator.
