    Men's Soccer Vol. Assistant Coach
Walker Boyd enters his third year as an assistant coach for UMass working primarily with the goalkeepers. In addition to his duties coaching the keepers, Boyd assists with recruiting, scouting, and organization of fundraising events and the Massachusetts Soccer Academy. A 2000 graduate of Frostburg State, Boyd was a First Team All-AMCC keeperwith a 48-12-2 record and a 0.89 goals against average. He helped Frostburg State to three ECAC Championship appearances during his career. At the collegiate level, Boyd has also coached at Dartmouth (2006-08) and Lynchburg College (2004-06) where he was also an assistant coach working with the goalkeepers for the women[apos]s soccer teams. While working on his masters in education from 2002-04, Boyd was heavily involved with both the men[apos]s and women[apos]s soccer programs at Elmira College. There he served as the interim men[apos]s soccer coach from 2003-04 after working as the goalkeeper coach for both programs the previous year. Additionally, he was the head coach of the JV team for both years and served as the Intramural Director for the athletic department. Boyd also has experience coaching at the Club and Olympic Development Program (ODP) levels. He worked with the Viriginia ODP for four years serving as the Western District 90 Boys Head Coach from 2005-06. Boyd holds his NSCAA Advanced National Diploma and the NSCAA Advanced Regional Goalkeeper Diploma. Updated on June 3, 2010
