Moreau and Dean Selected in WLL Supplemental Draft

AMHERST, Mass. – A pair of former Massachusetts women's lacrosse greats were selected in the Women's Lacrosse League Supplemental Draft, held on Wednesday. Amy Moreau went to the Boston Guard while Jordan Dean was picked by the California Palms.
Moreau wrapped up her decorated career at UMass by garnering Atlantic 10 Midfielder of the Year honors and first team All-Conference recognition in 2023. She finished her senior season with career highs in goals (35), assists (15) and points (50). Moreau graduated UMass top five in program history in career draw controls at the time with 151, while her 74 career caused turnovers were good for sixth.
Dean graduated in 2025 after 209 draw controls, along with four goals and three assists for seven points during her senior campaign. She was a second team All-Atlantic 10 honoree while garnering Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week in consecutive weeks in March. The year prior, Dean set an NCAA single-season record for draw controls with 261 and was named a USA Lacrosse honorable mention All-American. She ended her career with an incredible 664 draw controls, an NCAA record.
The WLL, which began play in 2025, features four teams. After a round robin Feb. 27-Mar. 8, play continues on May 15 at Centreville Bank Stadium, with competition continuing throughout the summer. Along with California and Boston, the WLL also features the New York Charging and Maryland Charm.
