Massachusetts Secures 16th NCAA Tournament Bid

Minutewomen Will Face Princeton in the Baltimore Regional

AMERST, Mass. -- The Massachusetts women's lacrosse program earned its 16th overall NCAA Tournament bid Sunday night. The Minutewomen will take on Princeton at 5:00 p.m. in the NCAA First Round in Baltimore, Maryland. It marks the first NCAA bid for Massachusetts since 2023 and 12th appearance in the last 17 seasons.

The Minutewomen are also joined at the Baltimore Regional by Liberty (12-7, 5-1) who will take on host Johns Hopkins (12-6, 5-3) Friday at 2:00 p.m, with the winning teams advancing to the NCAA Second Round Sunday afternoon at 1:00 p.m.

Massachusetts women's lacrosse (15-3, 10-0 A-10) secured it's 12 Atlantic 10 Championship and the automatic bid to the 2025 NCAA Tournament with a 15-4 victory over Saint Joseph's (11-8, 9-1) on Sunday afternoon at Robins Stadium. The win marks the first A-10 Tournament Title since 2021 for the Minutewomen, while sweeping both the outright regular season and tournament championships for the first time since 2017.

Overall, five Minutewomen were selected to the A-10 All-Tournament team in a post-game ceremony, including Kassidy Morris who received the Championship's Most Outstanding Player. Connaughton, Rodriguez-Shaw, Shields and Dean each joined Morris on the All-Championship Team, receiving recognition for their play over the championship weekend.
