Chloe Taylor Breaks Pole Vault Program Record as Massachusetts Women’s Track and Field Dominates Brown Invite

AMHERST, Mass. -- The University of Massachusetts women's track and field team had an exceptional weekend, highlighted by three top-ten program performances, including Chloe Taylor breaking the indoor pole vault record at the Brown Invitational in Providence, R.I. on Saturday.

Highlights from Competition:
- Chole Taylor secured gold in the women's pole vault, clearing 12'11.75", which was also good enough for the highest clear in program history. Megan Frazee earned silver, clearing 12'3.5".
- Jordan Lafave and Grace Hanafin each claimed podium finishes in the women's long jump, leaping 17'7.5" and 17'1" for second and third place, respectively. Winnie Sekyaya (10th) also placed in the top-10 with a jump of 16'3", with Ashley Camillo (12th) not finished far behind with 15'8".
- Gabrielle Bilong took home gold in the women's triple jump, with a distance of 37'1.75". Winnie Sekyaya placed second, with a jump of 37'0.25".
- Katelyn Gorgenyi placed fourth in the women's 60m hurdles finals with a time of 9.00.
- Jana De Raedt claimed gold in the women's 60m dash finals, finishing in 7.71, good enough for the fourth fastest time in program history. Ali Murphy took bronze with a time of 7.98.
- Sadai Headley-Mawasi earned gold in the women's 500m run, setting the fifth-fastest time in program history with 1:14.94.
