Minutewomen Rank Fifth After Opening Day Of MAC Outdoor Championship

MUNCIE, Ind. — The University of Massachusetts women's track and field program sits in fifth place after the opening day of the MAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships at the Briner Sports Complex. Megan Frazee in the pole vault, Elizabeth Hopkins in the javelin and Jaliyah Burns in the hammer throw secured eight points for the Minutewomen.

- Allison Chmielewski placed 15th in the women's 1500m run with a time of 4:34.30.
- Ingibjorg Sigurdardottir qualified for the finals in the women's 400m hurdles with a time of 1:00.67. Jennifer Williams placed 20th with a time of 1:04.93.
- Jana DeRaedt (14th) and Jillian Strynar (15th) placed consecutively in the women's 200m with times of 24.64 and 24.72.
- Anna Todd placed 14th in the women's 10k with a time of 35:56.23. Rylee Davis placed 16th with a time 36:18.02.
- Jaliyah Burns scored in the women's hammer throw with a toss of 169'1", taking eighth place.
- Megan Frazee took seventh in the women's pole vault with a clear of 12'8.25".
- Elizabeth Hopkins placed fourth in the women's javelin throw with a toss of 144'7".
