Taulelei Named To Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team

AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts women's basketball freshman Lilly Taulelei was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team as announced by the league on Tuesday afternoon. Taulelei started in 20-of-29 appearances for the Minutewomen in her first season in Amherst and becomes the first UMass player to be named to the all-rookie team since Destiney Philoxy in 2018-19.

Taulelei averaged 6.9 points and 2.6 rebounds per game on the season while shooting 46-percent from the field to rank 13^th in the A-10. The forward earned an A-10 Rookie of the Week honor on Dec. 11 after scoring 12 points on 6-of-6 from the field at Boston College. Taulelei scored a career-high 14 points on 6-of-8 from the field against Maryland at the Cancun Challenge and matched it in a win over Dayton in the A-10 home opener. The freshman added double figures twice against Loyola Chicago and hauled in a career-high 10 boards against VCU.

The Minutewomen begin Atlantic 10 postseason play on Wednesday at noon against La Salle in first round action from Henrico, Va.
