University of Massachusetts Women's Track & Field Wrap Up A Trio Of Meets

AMHERST, Mass.- The University of Massachusetts women's track and field team closed out their three meet weekend on Saturday. Megan Frazee won the pole vault at the Black and Gold Invitational while Courtney Rowland placed third in the high jump at the UConn Dog Fight to pace the Minutewomen
Highlights from competition:
Black and Gold Invitational
- Four Minutewomen placed in the top eight during the 3,000m steeplechase. Annika Zuschlag was the top finisher, coming in second with a time of 11:10.43.
- Behind Zuschlag were Rebekah James in third, Ella Bosselman in fifth, and Erin Shipos in sixth.
- In the 100m hurdles, three more Minutewomen had top eight finishes, highlighted by Katelyn Gorgenyi's winning time of 14.20. The time moves her to sixth all-time at UMass.
- Jennifer Williams and Megan Frazee also finished in the top eight in the event, coming in fourth and sixth respectively.
- Â Megan Frazee won the pole vault with her mark of 12' 0.75".
- Freshman Anna McElhinney came in fifth in the 5,000 meter with a time of 17:44.08.
- Natalie Krysta had a podium finish in the discus, earning third with a toss of 133'6".
- The 4x400m team consisting of Ali Murphy, Lara Mannes Diaz de Cerio, Judith Okwara, and Sarah Witt placed third with a time of 3:58.42.
Raleigh Relays
- As the lone Minutewomen competing, Elise O'Leary ran the 800m in a time of 2:13.69.
UConn Dog Fight
- In the triple jump, Ruth Michel and Gabrielle Bilong placed fifth and sixth respectively. Michel jumped a distance of 38' 2" while Bilong jumped 37' 4.5".
- Courtney Rowland came in third in the high jump with a jump of 5' 7".
