Early Surge Falls Short as UMass Drops 62-57 Decision to Boston College

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- Despite another gritty performance on the road, the Minutewomen's (4-6, 0-0 A10) momentum fell just short 62-57 against ACC in-state rivals: Boston College (8-4, 1-0 ACC).
Freshman Yahmani McKayle led all scorers with 14 points off the bench, shooting 3-6 from three-point range. The guard added two rebounds and three assists on the day.
Stefanie Kulesza and Megan Olbrys also hit double figures in the scoring column for UMass, tallying 12 and 11 points respectively. Kulesza hit a season-high three threes while Olbrys added nine rebounds, three assists, a block, and a steal.
