AMHERST, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts men's soccer team will play a pair of games this week, beginning with a Tuesday afternoon matchup against No. 17-ranked Vermont before a home conference game against George Washington on Saturday. Tomorrow's match kicks off at 4 p.m. on ESPN+.

Series vs. Vermont

The last time the Minutemen and Catamounts squared off, UMass traveled to Burlington in 2022 for a game that ended 3-0 in favor of Vermont. The Minutemen's last win over Vermont came in 2017 by way of a 2-1 victory at Rudd Field. The Minutemen are 10-25-6 all-time against Vermont.

Series vs. George Washington

Saturday's match will mark the 30th time the Atlantic 10 opponents will face each other. UMass was able to best the now Revolutionaries, 4-1 at Mount Vernon Athletic Field in Washington D.C. UMass has gone 3-1-1 in the last five meetings against George Washington and leads the all-time series 15-11-3.

Conference Leaders

Senior forwards Alec Hughes and Nick Zielonka are atop the Atlantic 10 Conference leaders in offense. Hughes leads the A-10 in five separate categories. He is first in points (14), goals (7), goals per game (.78), shots per game (4.00) and shots on goal per game (2.00). Zielonka on the other hand, is in solo lead of total assists with six and is second in assists per game with .67.

Parking Advisory

For our Saturday game against George Washington, fans should plan for extra travel time due to an increase in traffic from the football game on campus. All soccer fans need to park in Lot 67 on Mullins Way (across from the Turf REC Fields). For easy access, fans should come through campus on N Hadley Road. For a full map, please click here.
