Women’s Basketball Headed To Croatia For Foreign Tour

Minutewomen set for nine-day international excursion.
AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts women's basketball is completing final preparations for a nine-day trip to Croatia from August 11-19. The Minutewomen will take a two-city foreign tour that consists of stops in Split and Dubrovnik.
The trip to Europe is the second of its kind for the program, with the team previously traveling to Portugal in 2019. Per NCAA rules, college teams are allowed to make an international trip once every four years.
UMass will have the opportunity to play in three exhibition contests while on their tour of Croatia. The first game will take place at 1 p.m. ET on Monday, August 14, against the Split Select in Split, Croatia. The second game will be played at 12:30 p.m. ET on Tuesday, August 15, against the ZKK Buducnost Podgorica in Dubrovnik, Croatia. Massachusetts and ZKK Buducnost Podgorica will meet again for the third and final game at 12:30 p.m. ET on Thursday, August 17.
Additionally, the Minutewomen will have the opportunity to take in the cultural experience of each of the cities. The team will participate in guided tours, including a Dubrovnik Game of Thrones Guided Tour, ziplining and kayaking excursions.
