Massachusetts Women’s Basketball Clinches Top Seed For A-10 Championships For First Time In Program History

The Minutewomen receive a double-bye into the Quarterfinals on Friday, March 3.
WILMINGTON, Del. – University of Massachusetts women's basketball clinched the No. 1-seed for the first time in program history in the upcoming Atlantic 10 Championship, the league announced Saturday night. The Minutewomen will begin their tournament action on Friday, March 3, after earning a double-bye into the Quarterfinal Round.

The entire A-10 championship will be played at the CHASE Fieldhouse from Wednesday, March 1, through Sunday, March 5. The First Round, Second Round and Quarterfinals of the tournament will be aired on ESPN+, the Semifinals on CBS Sports Network and the Championship Final via a national broadcast on ESPNU.
Massachusetts currently sits at 24-5 on the season and wrapped up A-10 Conference play at 14-2. The 14 league victories for the Minutewomen are the most in program history.
The Minutewomen will play at 11 a.m., on that Friday, competing against the winner of the Thursday, March 2, game four.
