Atlantic 10 Reveals Swimming And Diving Preseason Poll

The Minutemen were tabbed fourth, while the Minutewomen were picked eighth.
AMHERST, Mass. – The Atlantic 10 Conference announced its 2023-24 swimming and diving preseason poll on Wednesday. The Minutemen were picked fourth with 43 points, while the Minutewomen were selected to finish eighth with 49 points by the coaches.
The men's squad sits behind George Washington in first with 64 points, including all eight first-place votes, George Mason in second with 48 points and Davidson in third with 45 points. St. Bonaventure (33 pts.) follows the Minutemen in fifth, Fordham (28 pts.) in sixth, La Salle (19 pts.) in seventh and Saint Louis sitting in eighth with eight points.
The women's team earned eighth with George Washington claiming all 11 first-place votes and tallying 121 points. Richmond (109 pts.), Duquesne (96 pts.), Fordham (76 pts.) and George Mason (73 pts.) round out the top-five, while Davidson (68 pts.) and La Salle (57 pts.) took sixth and seventh, respectively. The Minutewomen sit ahead of St. Bonaventure in ninth with 41 points and Saint Louis and Rhode Island, who tied for 10th with 18 points each.
Last season, the men's swimming and diving team took third in the 2022-23 A-10 Championships, while the women's team placed seventh at the event.
Massachusetts swimming and diving continues competition on Saturday, October 28, with its first home meet of the season at the Joseph R. Rogers, Jr. Pool for an 11 a.m. competition against Yale.
