MacDonald, Quigg, and Sinha Earn Atlantic 10 Weekly Awards

MacDonald is titled Men's Performer of the Week, while Quigg is named Men's Rookie of the Week and Sinha is selected as Women's Rookie of the Week.
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -Â University of Massachusetts swimming and diving's Jamie MacDonald, Sammy Quigg, and Shreeya Sinha have been selected as recipients of this week's Atlantic 10 Men's Performer, Men's Rookie, and Women's Rookie of the Week honors, respectively, as announced by the league on Wednesday afternoon. The accolade marks the first of the trio's careers at Massachusetts.
MacDonald captured first place in the 200-yard butterfly in 1:56.41, as well as in the 200-yard individual medley in 1:57.91, at Saturday's dual meet win against Bryant.
Quigg was a member of the first-place 200-yard freestyle relay team (1:26.94), the second-place 200-yard medley relay team (1:36.20), and swam to second place in the 50-yard freestyle (22.11). The freshman also earned third place in the 100-yard freestyle (48.78) at Saturday's dual meet win against Bryant.

Sinha took third place in the 3m dive (220.05) in Saturday's dual meet win against Bryant.
The Minutemen and Minutewomen return to the pool on Friday, Jan. 20 and Saturday, Jan. 21 as they head to Dartmouth for the Tate Ramsden Invitational.
