The Minutewomen led the field of eight schools with a score of 209.

AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts women's track and field celebrated Senior Day on Saturday with a first-place team finish at its home meet at the UMass Track & Field Complex. The Minutewomen led the field of eight schools with a score of 209, followed by Dartmouth (156.5) and New Hampshire (45).
 
UMass saw three new entries to the program's all-time list set in the 100 meter dash. Faith Richardson moved up to fourth all-time, clocking in at 12.07 seconds, good for third at the meet, Caroline Schissel ran 12.10 seconds to fifth, matching the fifth-fastest time in school history and Abby Collins was sixth in 12.11 seconds, the new No. 7 all-time UMass mark. Jordan Lafave followed in eighth at 12.38 seconds.
 
Richardson, Schissel and Collins finished in the scoring in 200 meter dash, taking third, fourth and fifth with times of 25.16, 25.50 and 25.67, respectively.
 
UMass claimed six of the top-eight spots in 400 meter dash, led by Sadai Headley-Mawasi in first at 56.83 seconds. Rounding out the group were Daniela Pierre (second, 57.70), Elizabeth Hoenes (third, 58.31), Sarah Witt (fourth, 59.63), Tessa Bostwick (sixth, 59.87) and Samantha Schwers (eighth, 1:00.32)
 
The Minutewomen had three scorers in both 100 meter hurdles and 400 meter hurdles. Lillian Kirry was victorious in 400 hurdles (1:00.02), leading a 1-2-3 UMass sweep that Kira Kopec (1:01.84) and Alexandra Gonet (1:03.92). In 100 hurdles, Elizabeth Lodge placed second (14.92), Katelyn Gorgenyi claimed fifth (15.00) and Elizabeth Lee followed in sixth (15.17).
 
Rounding out the individual scorers on the track, Lily Robinson completed the 5,000 meter run in 17 minutes, 37.42 seconds to place fourth.
 
UMass had two new record book entries come in the relays. Sarah Yocum, Kopec, Hoenes and Kirry combined to take first in the 4x400m in 3 minutes, 48.03 seconds, setting a new No. 3 all-time program mark. In the 4x100m, Yocum, Schissel, Collins and Richardson teamed up to earn a second-place finish in 47.14 seconds, good for fourth in program history.
 
Elizabeth Lodge won high jump, clearing 5 feet, 5.25 inches. Courtney Rowland took fourth (5'3.25"), Lea Doerries was fifth (5'3.25") and Tessa Bostwick was seventh (4'11.5").
 
Emily McDonald captured first in triple jump with a mark of 38 feet, 4.75 inches, while Tyler Berry was sixth (36'6.75") and Jessica Dronzek placed eighth (36'2"). McDonald was the runner-up in long jump at 18 feet, 9.75 inches, Lafave landed third (18'9.25") and Tiarra Deveaux took sixth (18'4.25"). In pole vault, Sophia Casciano cleared 11 feet, 7.75 inches to place second.
 
Four Minutewomen earned spots in the top eight in javelin as Anna Cozzolino led the field with a winning throw of 129 feet, 2 inches. Aaliyah Alleyne followed in second (125'5"), Sarah Folan was sixth (116'11") and Kopec came in eighth (111'11").
 
In shot put, Danielle Notarfrancesco landed second with a toss of 47 feet, 1.5 inches, while Kopec registered a fourth-place throw of 41 feet, 3.75 inches and Gabriella Pagnini's mark of 40 feet, 8.25 inches was seventh. Pagnini was second in discus at 137 feet, 3 inches, Notarfrancesco was sixth (127'0") and Cheyenne Figueroa was eighth (121'8").
 
UMass claimed four of the top eight performances in hammer. Voski Armenkayan was the top finisher for the Minutewomen in third with a throw of 167 feet, 9 inches. Figueroa placed fourth (166'6"), Notarfrancesco was fifth (155'9") and Jessica Reis was seventh (145'4").
 
Massachusetts will be back in action next weekend at VCU in Richmond, Virginia for the Atlantic 10 Championships on Saturday, May 7 and Sunday, May 8.
