Honohan runs to fifth place in the 400-meter dash.
ORLANDO, Fla. – The Minutemen wrapped up at the Black and Gold Invitational on Saturday at UCF, competing in five events. Lucas Honohan's performance in the 400-meter dash earned him third place in the event.
Honohan claimed third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 48.08 seconds. The next Minuteman to cross the line was Colin Stoddard in sixth place with a time of 48.48 seconds.
In the 4x100-meter relay, UMass A, consisting of Patrick Walsh, Felipe Gonzalez, Michael Rodia, and Honohan, claimed fifth place with a time of 42.45 seconds. UMass B (Nasir Perry, Denzel Agyeman, Tyler Glendon, and Christopher Matthews) placed in seventh with a time of 43.09 seconds.
The Minutemen A team (Stoddard, Alexander Laurent, Sean McKay, Honohan) claimed fifth in the 4x400-meter relay (3:18.07), with the B team (Daniel Dubsky, Matthews, Agyeman, Perry) following in 12th (3:24.39).
Agyeman was the first Minuteman to cross the finish line in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.18 seconds, good for 16th place, and Rodia ran to 12th place in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.79 seconds, followed by Gonzalez in 18th place with a time of 11.09 seconds.
The Minutemen are back in action on Friday and Saturday March 25-26 as the squad heads to the Raleigh Relays in Raleigh, N.C.
