Men's Track & Field's Norberg Finishes 44th In NCAA Quarterfinals

The sophomore raced in the 3,000m steeplechase on Friday evening at the NCAA East Preliminary.
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – University of Massachusetts men's track and field sophomore Michael Norberg was in action at the NCAA East Preliminary meet at Indiana's Haugh Track & Field Complex on Friday evening.
Norberg finished 14th in his heat and 44th overall with a time of 9 minutes, 13.28 seconds.
The performance caps a successful 2022 outdoor campaign for the Norfolk, Massachusetts native who posted the fifth-fastest 3,000 meter steeplechase time in program history at the Friar Invitational this spring, clocking in at 8 minutes, 56.03 seconds. He went on to earn a silver medal in steeple at the A-10 Championships and won the New England title a week later.
