AMHERST, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts swimming and diving team returns to the pool tomorrow for a road meet at Boston University. Competition at the BU Aquatics Center begins at 1:30 p.m.
Last Time Out
The Minutemen and Minutewomen both finished second in the team scoring last time out at the Boston College Invitational. The men's team posted a score of 616.5 while the women finished with 703.5 team points.
Fly Sweep
The Minutewomen picked up a sweep of the podium in the 200 Fly at the BC Invite, led by Summer Pierce's winning time of 2:06.65 while Beatriz Olivieri and Anna Kwon followed in second and third, respectively.
Event Wins At BC
UMass picked up six wins on the women's side at the BC Invite as Olivieri picked up a win in the 200 Free to follow her runner-up showing in the 200 Fly. Megan Mitchell led three Minutewomen in the top five of the 100 Back while Caroline Mahoney added a win in the 100 Free.
Minuteman Wins
Emerson Kiefer finished with a pair of top-two performances last time out, including a winning time of 1:43.26 in the 200 Fly. Jamie MacDonald clocked in a time of 1:54.02 to win the 200 Fly.
Looking Ahead
UMass returns to the pool next weekend with a road meet at Yale before gearing up for the final meet of the calendar year on Nov. 18-20 at the Terrier Invitational.
