The Minutemen took seventh out of eight teams at the Beantown Challenge.
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. โ University of Massachusetts men's track and field was in action at the Beantown Challenge on Saturday at Harvard. The Minutemen finished seventh in the team scoring with 18 points, while UConn took first in the field of eight with 201 points.

Zach Lefever turned in the top performance for the Minutemen on the day with a runner up showing in the 3,000 meter run with a time of eight minutes, 20.41 seconds.

The team of Christopher Matthews, Mason Benton, Lucas Honohan and Colin Stoddard was third in the 4x440 yard relay with a time of 3 minutes, 21.43 seconds.

In 60 meter dash, Michael Rodia took seventh in 7.18 seconds and Andrew Chabon placed seventh in long jump with a leap of 22 feet, 11.25 inches.

The Minutemen will be back in action on Saturday, January 15, at the URI Invitational in Kingston, R.I.
