AMHERST, Mass. – After backstopping the Massachusetts women's lacrosse team to a 2-0 week, graduate goalkeeper Lauren Hiller has been named the Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.

Hiller posted a 7.50 goals against average in two games last week, giving up just five goals in 51 minutes of action in a 17-7 victory over La Salle on Friday afternoon before helping the Minutewomen to a 21-10 win against Duquesne on Sunday on Senior Day.

This is the second conference accolade of the season for the North Andover, Mass. native, who is 11-2 on the season with a 9.54 goals against average that is good for 15th in the nation and .447 save percentage that ranks 45th in the country.

Hiller and the Minutewomen will look to finish out the regular season strong when UMass hosts St. Bonaventure on Friday at 2 p.m. before heading to Philadelphia for the regular season finale on Sunday at Saint Joseph's.
