Lauren Hiller Named A-10 Defensive Player of the Week

AMHERST, Mass. – After backstopping the Massachusetts women's lacrosse team to back-to-back victories, goalkeeper Lauren Hiller has been named the Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Week.
Hiller was immense in goal for the Minutewomen last week, including an 11-save performance against Connecticut on Saturday at Garber Field to help UMass to a come-from-behind victory over the Huskies in overtime, 15-14. She also collected five groundballs and caused one turnover.
Hiller, a North Andover, Mass. native, also made two saves in 30 minutes of action on Wednesday against UMass Lowell along with one ground ball.
Hiller and the Minutewomen will be back in action on Sunday when Massachusetts hosts Holy Cross at 1 p.m. on Garber Field.
