All-Time vs. Navy
Massachusetts is 1-3 all-time against Navy, with the last meeting on the weekend of March 2-3, 2019. It included a 3-0 shutout victory in the opener on March 2, but a weather-shortened finale went the way of the Midshipmen by a 12-4 score on March 3.

Recap in a Minute
Massachusetts began the season last weekend at Delaware State's Soldier Field, picking up a lid-lifter victory although the Hornets answered to take the middle and rubber games of the series. Junior right-hander Sean Harney collected a win on Sat., Feb. 22 in the opener, picking up three strikeouts over four-plus innings. Redshirt junior Anthony Videtto (3-for-4) and sophomore Steve Luttazi (2-for-2) recorded multiple hits in the first game. Videtto hit an RBI double in the first inning of game one, then broke a 1-1 tie clubbing a two-run homer in the top of the third. Making his collegiate debut, freshman Jordan Erbe drove in two runs in the fourth and Videtto scored again in the fifth to put the Minutemen ahead, 6-3. Sophomore Daniel Livnat carried the balance of the game on the mound and did not allow a hit in the final three innings, picking up the save.

 Made at the Flagship
UMass alumnus and right-handed pitcher Justin Lasko was drafted by the New York Mets in the 30th round of the 2019 MLB First-Year Draft. He became the 57th Minuteman to be drafted all-time and made 10 appearances with the Brooklyn Cyclones in the New York-Penn League. Posting a 1.42 ERA over 12.2 innings, he was later assigned to Class A Columbia in July where Lasko made 11 appearances, one start and went 4-4 with a 2.57 clip.

The Stratford, Connecticut native was a three-year ace with the Minutemen and graduated in possession of multiple program records, including career starts (48), innings pitched (311.1) and strikeouts (247).

On Deck
The Minutemen head to Athens, Georgia next weekend to take on the Georgia for a three-game set, opening the series with a game on Fri., March 6 at 6 p.m.
