With one out, Beverly singled up the middle with Kolben advancing to second. Travisano then singled up the middle as Kolben scored to make it a 4-2 game. Back-to-back singles with two outs from both O'Brien and McCarthy gave UMass a 6-2 lead. Bonior followed with a single up the middle to drive home O'Brien to put Massachusetts ahead, 7-2.
