UMass women's soccer will look to rebound from a 2-1 loss to Richmond in its Atlantic 10 opener this past Sunday at Rudd Field when the squad kicks off a three-match road stint this Thursday at George Mason. The Patriots also dropped their A-10 opener, falling 2-0 to Dayton on the road last weekend. Freshman Melissa Kössler leads UMass in scoring with 12 points in seven matches on five goals and two, while sophomore Lauren Bonavita follows close behind with 11 points (5g, 1a) in seven matches. The two combined for the lone tally for the Minutewomen against the Spiders with Kössler setting up Bonavita's fifth of the season. The duo has provided each of the last five goals on the year for UMass over the past three matches.
