UMass dropped both of its exhibition matches last weekend (L, 1-2 at Army; L 1-4 vs. UConn), but individuals across the roster had the opportunity to get game experience prior to Thursday's opener at Boston College. The Minutewomen will play three straight on the road before their 2019 Rudd Field opener on Sunday, Sept. 1 against Pitt. Preseason All-Atlantic 10 selection junior midfielder Jenny Hipp scored both of the squad's goals in the two preseason matchups. The 2018 Atlantic 10 Midfielder of the Year is one of the teams top-three scorers returning from last season for head coach Jason Dowiak in year two at UMass. Thursday's matchup marks the Mintutewomen's first meeting with the Eagles since 2002. The Minutewomen are 15-1-1 all-time against Boston College.
