Championship Swim Camp To Be Held June 29-July 3 On Campus

The five-day camp provides all participants with an excellent opportunity to improve their swimming skills in the four strokes.

AMHERST, Mass. – The 2019 Championship Swim Camp on the University of Massachusetts campus will be held on June 29 through July 3 in the Joseph R. Rogers Pool inside Boyden Gym. The camp provides all participants with an excellent opportunity to improve their swimming skills in the four strokes along with the associated starts and turns.
 
Campers will have two swimming sessions during the day as well as classroom and dry-land activities. All sessions include an emphasis on stroke technique and some conditioning in addition to stroke lectures, drills and video reviews. Each swimmer will have an opportunity to have their strokes filmed, views and evaluated by the knowledgeable camp staff.
 
Check in for the camp will be on Saturday, June 29 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Southwest Residential area of campus with the exact location to be announced once room and dorm assignments are completed. The first swimming sessions will begin after check-in has concluded at 1:30 p.m.
 
Resident campers are asked to bring personal articles including pillow, blanket and sheets, sun block, towels, suits, caps, t-shirts, shorts and athletic shoes. Kick boards, pull-buoys and other necessary equipment will be supplied by the camp.
