Minutewomen Head To Rhode Island For Atlantic 10 Meet

Last Time Out
The Minutewomen picked up a 164-135 win over Boston University for their first win over the Terriers since 2013. UMass swept both the 100 Back and 200 Fly, led by Meghan Gray's time of 1:00.13 in the 100 Back while Sydnee Aubin and Kirsten Ardis rounded out the top-three finishers. Summer Pierce paced UMass in the 200 Fly with a time of 2:10.39 with Jane Denenberg in second and Stephanie Judge in third.
Series History
UMass leads the all-time series against Rhode Island 27-2 dating back to their first meeting during the 1978-79 season. Last year, the Minutewomen defeated the Rams 185-110 in the Joseph R. Rogers, Jr. Pool while setting a pair of new pool relay records. Mariam Labib helped the Minutewomen to a pool record time in the 400 Medley Relay before breaking an 18-year-old record in the 800 Freestyle Relay with returners Olga Egkorova and Kelly Malyszka.
Terrier Invitational On The Horizon
The Minutewomen will be off the next weekend following their meet against Rhode Island before returning to action for the Terrier Invitational on Nov. 22-24 in Boston, Mass. The Terrier features regional opponents each year, featuring but not limited to BU, Boston College, Northeastern, New Hampshire and Colgate.
Getting Familiar
The UMass divers will also be in action on Nov. 22-23 at the WVU Invitational in Morgantown, W.V., where the NCAA Zones will be held at the end of the season to determine who qualifies for the NCAA Championships in Athens, Georgia. The divers will also compete at the Bucknell Invite on Dec. 6-8 in Lewisburg, Pa.
