Coming off a tough 3-2 overtime loss on the road at George Washington Thursday, the Minutewomen will look to push their A-10 record back over .500 when the squad hosts Rhode Island this Sunday at 3 p.m. The Rams are currently 0-3-1 in league play with losses to Saint Louis (1-4), George Washington (0-2) and Davidson (0-1), while playing to a 0-0 draw against Dayton. Defending United Soccer Coaches National Player of the week freshman Melissa Kössler leads UMass in scoring with 25 points in 10 matches on 10 goals and five assists, already having surpassed the highest goal total for a member of the Minutewomen in a single season since 2013. Sophomore Lauren Bonavita follows with 13 points (6g, 1a) in 10 matches and senior Rebeca Frisk has contributed eight points on three goals and two assists. Freshman Ansley Frazier has chipped in with a team-high eight assists and is among the top-10 in the nation in helpers.
