AMHERST, Mass. – For the first time since 2011, Massachusetts women's soccer will host a postseason match at Rudd Field. The Minutewomen, the No. 3 seed in the Atlantic 10, will battle No. 6 Fordham on Sunday, November 3 at 1 p.m. on ESPN+.

UMass students should check into the game on the Militia Student Rewards app for a chance to win $250 worth of gift cards to the UMass Bookstore. Three winners will be chosen at random during the game!

UMass finished the regular season with a 6-3-1 mark in conference play, good for third in the Atlantic 10 standings and its best finish since 2000. The Minutewomen used a 4-1-1 mark down the stretch to secure home field for the quarterfinals at Rudd, where it's gone 4-1-2 this season.

The Minutewomen will play host to Fordham, which earned a spot in the tournament with a 2-1 overtime victory against Davidson on Monday morning. The Rams are 5-10-4 on the season, including a 4-4-2 mark in league play.

The winner of Sunday's match will advance to the Atlantic 10 semifinals, which will be held on November 8 at 4 p.m. against the winner of the George Washington and Saint Joseph's game.

History in the Atlantic 10 Tournament
UMass is making its 16th appearance in the conference tournament in team history. The Minutewomen are 11-11-1 all-time in A-10 postseason play, and has won the league championship four times (1993, 1994, 1995, 1997).

Front and center
Massachusetts has been led this season by freshman Melissa Kossler, who is 22nd in the nation in total points (29) and points per game (1.81), while her 11 goals are good for 30th in the NCAA. Her 29 points this season are the most for a Minutewoman since Moa Mattsson had 29 in 2012, and she's one away from becoming the first player since 1999 (Emma Kurowski) to reach 30 points in a season.

Kossler has been aided by the play of sophomore Lauren Bonavita, who has added 10 goals (46th in the country). The two are the first Minutewomen duo since 1998 to both record double-digit goals in a season.

Rookie Ansley Frazier, meanwhile, joins Kossler as one of the top freshmen in the nation. She is 16th in the NCAA with nine assists this season, and added her first collegiate goal last week against La Salle.

Tenacious D
In goal, graduate student Peyton Ryan has played every minute this season, posting a 9-5-3 record with a 1.63 goals against average, .691 save percentage and two clean sheets.
