Minutewomen to Celebrate National Girls & Women in Sports Day Saturday

UMass players and coaches will host a free postgame basketball clinic
AMHERST, Mass. – In celebration of National Girls & Women in Sports Day, University of Massachusetts women's basketball will lead a one-hour instructional clinic on Sat., Jan. 26 following the team's game vs. St. Bonaventure. The contest begins at 2 p.m. at the Mullins Center with the clinic (presented by UMassFive College Credit Union) later taking place in the adjacent John Francis Kennedy Champions Center.
Fans age 12 and under can participate in the clinic for free with a game ticket and will receive a complimentary UMass basketball t-shirt. An autograph session with the Minutewomen will take place at the conclusion of the afternoon.
Tickets can be purchased online by clicking here, via telephone at (866) UMASS-TIX or in person at the Mullins Center Box Office. Fans can register for the postgame clinic at the time of ticket purchase or on game day at the UMass marketing table, located on the Mullins Center concourse.
UMass is coming off of a 70-58 win at Davidson on Sun., Jan. 20, handing the Wildcats their first loss of the Atlantic 10 schedule. The Minutewomen currently sit at 11-8 on the season, including a 3-2 record in conference play.
