Hannah Burnett Named To IWLCA Academic Honor Roll

Recent graduate adds another academic honor to an illustrious senior campaign.
AMHERST, Mass. - Recent UMass women's lacrosse graduate Hannah Burnett (Huntington, N.Y.) was named to the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll as previously announced by the coaches' organization.
The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) named 35 individuals overall from the Atlantic 10 to the 2018 IWLCA Zag Sports Division I Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.
One of the top offensive players in the league for second straight year, Burnett closed out her career as an IWLCA All-Northeast Region selection marking the second time being named to the second team. The 2018 senior led UMass in goals (61) and second in points (78) - a career-best total. She finished her UMass career ranked 5th all-time in goals (156) and eighth in points (197) while tying the single-game record for points (10) and setting the single-game mark for goals (8) during her time in Amherst. Her 78 points this year are the sixth-most for a single-season, while her 61 goals were the fourth most. Burnett was also a two-time A-10 All-Academic selection, member of the All-Atlantic 10 squad during her UMass career, and was selected to the IWLCA Senior All-Star game earlier this summer.
