Holly Turner Named IWLCA Third-Team All-American

Senior attack finished UMass career as one of all-time great offensive players.
AMHERST, Mass. - After concluding her career as one of the best players in UMass women's lacrosse history, senior Holly Turner (Pittsford, N.Y.) was named to the IWLCA All-America Third Team on Thursday morning.
UMass has produced four first-team All-Americans, seven second-team All-Americans, and eight third-team All-Americans in program history including Turner. During Angela McMahon's coaching career, a total nine players have earned All-America honors.
Turner led the A-10 in points (93), assists (51) and finished the year with 42 goals. She ranks second for career points (280), is seventh for goals (137) and holds the program record for assists (143). The senior posted a career-best 51 assists this year was also an All-Atlantic 10 First Team pick. Defensively, Turner increased her productivity on the ride as well with career-best numbers for caused turnovers (22) and groundballs (40).
Overall, this marked the second consecutive year Turner was honored to the IWLCA All-Northeast Region First-Team.
