Minutemen Receive United Soccer Coaches Academic Award

The team award was given out to programs with a 3.0 team GPA or better for the 2017-18 academic year.
AMHERST, Mass. – The University of Massachusetts men's soccer team was honored with a United Soccer College Team Academic Award for the fourth straight year as announced by the organization on Thursday morning. The award is given out to recognize exemplary performance in the classroom during the 2017-18 academic year.
In order to be eligible for the award, teams must have a composite grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale for all players on the roster. The Minutemen have compiled a 3.0 team GPA or better the last four academic years along with five out of the last six years.
