The University of Massachusetts men's cross country team will head to Pole Green Park in Mechanicsville, Virginia on Saturday morning to race in the Atlantic 10 Championships, an 8K beginning at 10:50 a.m. Expected to compete for the Minutemen are Jack Adamski, Dawson Bathgate, Erik Engstrom, Michael Famiglietti, Nasir Gibson, Brandon Harrington, Michael McDonald, Kalin Petrov, Josh Rahn and Kendall Westhoff. Several Minutemen ran at the CCSU Mini meet last weekend while the majority of the squad rested up after winning the New England Championships team tile back on Oct. 6. Bathgate was UMass' top finisher at New England's in sixth overall and has led the Minutemen in all three meets he has competed in thus far. Famiglietti has been UMass' No. 2 runner in each of his last two meets, while Engstrom has been a consistent scorer, as well, with three appearances in the top-three for the Minutemen in his three meets.
