Catherwood Claims Fifth As Men's Cross Country Runs In MAC Championships For First Time

BUFFALO, N.Y. – Junior Collin Catherwood paced the University of Massachusetts men's cross country team at the MAC Championships on Saturday, a field featuring 10 schools and 86 runners. The Minutemen compiled a score of 166, and took eighth as a squad, while Toledo took home the team title with a score of 58.
THE UMASS TOP-FIVE
- Catherwood came in first for the Minutemen and fifth overall in the 8K with a time of 24:19.5.
- Sophomore Cyrus Hansen followed in 34th overall in 25:26.2.
- Senior Liam Ouellette placed third on the team and 35th overall (25:27.0).
- Senior Riley Cole claimed 46th with a time of 25:51.5.
- Freshman Liam Davidson rounded out UMass' scoring in 48th overall (25:53.8).

The Minutemen will return to action at the NCAA Northeast Regional Championships at Hopkinton Fairgrounds in Hopkinton, N.H., on November 14.
