Catherwood Wins At Dartmouth, Minutemen Take Second

HANOVER, N.H. – Junior Collin Catherwood led the field at the Maribel Sanchez Souther Memorial Invitational on Saturday, helping the Massachusetts men's cross country to second in a field of four teams. The Minutemen posted a score of 43, as their top five all finished within the top 17 of 57 overall. Northeastern won the meet (35 points), Dartmouth was fourth (50 points) and Vermont took fourth (94 points).

The Minutemen will return to action at the New England Championships at Hopkinton Fairgrounds in Hopkinton, N.H., on October 10. Races are slated to begin at 2:45 p.m.

- Catherwood won the 8K with a time of 24:34.90, taking first out of 57 runners.
- Junior Erik Unger finished in fifth overall in 24:54.40.
- Sophomore Cyrus Hansen placed third on the team and ninth overall (25:21.40).
- Senior Liam Ouellette followed in 11th with a time of 25:24.10.
- Freshman Altamo Aschkenasy completed the scoring in 17th (25:54.30).
