Minutewomen To Celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day

Kids eighth grade and below are invited to a postgame basketball clinic and autograph session on Sat., Jan. 13
AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts women's basketball will host an instructional clinic and autograph session following its Sat., Jan. 13 game against Saint Joseph's, which is scheduled for a 2 p.m. tipoff at the Mullins Center. The events, taking place in conjunction with National Girls and Women in Sports Day, are free to attend with a game ticket for kids in eighth grade and below.
The first 200 participants will receive a complimentary T-shirt, however early registration and arrival are encouraged due to limited shirt sizes. Following the game, those in attendance will be escorted to the Champions Center for the autograph session and clinic, led by UMass players and coaches.

Held annually since 1987, National Girls and Women in Sports Day celebrates the accomplishments of female athletes, recognizes the influence of sports participation for women and girls and honors the continued progress toward equality for women in sports.
