Women's Soccer Heads To St. Bona On Thursday Night

Minutewomen and Bonnies set for 7 PM kickoff in Olean.
AMHERST, Mass. - After a split weekend to open Atlantic 10 play at home, the UMass women's soccer team heads to Olean, N.Y., on Thursday night to take on St. Bonaventure before then heading to Virginia on Sunday to take on VCU. Kick-off against the Bonnies is set for 7 PM at the Marra Athletics Complex, while Sunday's match against the Rams at Sports Backers Stadium is set for 2 PM. Both matches will be streamed live on the Atlantic 10 Digital Network.
The Minutewomen (4-5-1, 1-1-0 A-10) picked up a 3-1 win over Davidson to open Atlantic 10 play last Thursday before suffering a 3-2 loss to Fordham on Sunday. Erin Doster scored in both games for a team-best four goals on the season. St. Bonaventure picked up a draw and a loss in the opening A-10 weekend, while VCU earned a win and a draw to open league play.
Along with her four goals, Doster has an assist on the year for a team-best and career-best nine points. Sini Laaksonen and Kelly Marra each have two goals and are part four players who have four points this season. Overall six different players have scored goals, while 10 have recorded at least a point on the year. Marra leads the goal scoring group with both her tallies serving as game-winners.
In goal, Cassidy Babin is the keeper of record with a 1.56 goals-against-average, a 0.797 save percentage and two shutouts. She's now played in 51 career matches with 14 total shutouts in just under 4,800 minutes of action.
St. Bonaventure enters the weekend with an overall record of 0-9-2 and an A-10 mark of 0-1-1. The Rams are 5-2-2 overall and 1-0-1 in league play.
