Pair Of Home Games On Tap For Women's Soccer

Minutewomen host Brown on Thursday, Yale on Sunday.
AMHERST, Mass. - The home stand continues for the UMass women's soccer team as the Minutewomen host Brown on Thursday afternoon (4 PM) and Yale on Sunday (2 PM) at Rudd Field. Both matches will be streamed live on the Atlantic 10 Digital Network and admission is free as always.
UMass (2-3-1) is currently on a three-match unbeaten streak after wins over Maine and Holy Cross along with a draw against Delaware. Brown enters Thursday's contest with a 4-2-0 record after Sunday's win over Lafayette, while Yale is currently 6-1-0 and will host Colorado College on Friday before visiting the Minutewomen.
In Sunday's 1-0 win over Holy Cross, freshman Kelly Marra headed home the game-winner in the 44th minute for the game-winning goal and the first tally of her collegiate career. UMass keeper Cassidy Babin made nine saves to earn the clean sheet including six in the second half.
Erin Doster continues to lead the team in scoring this season with a pair of goals, while Marra, Jenny Hipp and Salma Anastasio each have one. Anastasio and Paige Kozlowski each have two assists to lead the team.
Babin has a 1.60 goals-against-average for the season along with a 0.804 save percentage as the keeper of record. She has now played in 47 career matches for nearly 4,500 minutes with 13 shutouts.
Following the weekend's action, UMass will close out its six-match home stand with the start of Atlantic 10 play when the Minutewomen host Davidson on Thursday, Sept. 21 (4 PM) and Fordham on Sunday, Spet. 24 (1 PM).
