Swimming and Diving Announces 2016-17 Schedule

Minutemen and Minutewomen will host three home meets during the year.
AMHERST, Massachusetts - Three home meets, including the season opener against Army on Oct. 14, highlight the 2016-17 men's and women's swimming and diving schedule as announced Tuesday. All told, the squads will take part in five dual meets and five multi-team meets before heading into the Atlantic 10 Championships in February.
The men's program is coming off its 16th Atlantic 10 Championship title in 2016, while the Minutewomen are looking to improve from a fourth-place finish a year ago.
The season will officially begin on Oct. 7-8 at the Colgate Invitational. Additionally, the divers will travel to a pair of invitationals at Bucknell and Buffalo during the season.
HOME EVENTS:
Oct. 14 - Army - 5 p.m.
Jan. 14 - Bryant - 12 p.m.
Jan. 17 - Rhode Island (women only) - 1 p.m.
ATLANTIC 10 CHAMPIONSHIPS:
Feb. 15-18 - Spire Institute - Geneva, Ohio
