Minutewomen host George Mason on Friday, George Washington on Sunday.

AMHERST, Massachusetts - It's a key weekend for the UMass women's soccer team as the Minutewomen host Atlantic 10 foes George Mason on Thursday (4 p.m.) and George Washington on Sunday (1 p.m.) at Rudd Field. Admission is free to both contests and the matches will be streamed live on the UMass/Atlantic 10 Digital Network.

Additionally, Sunday's match against the Colonials will be the team's annual Breast Cancer Awareness day. Fans are asked to wear pink to Rudd Field in support of breast cancer awareness and those battling the disease.

The Minutewomen are coming off a tough opening weekend of Atlantic 10 play after a 1-0 overtime loss at La Salle and a 1-0 loss at Richmond last weekend.

Gabriella Kenyon continues to lead the Minutewomen in scoring with two goals and four points. Rebeca Frisk and Megan Burke have the other two goals for UMass this season.

Defensively, keeper Cassidy Babin has started all nine matches with a 1.59 goals-against-average and a 0.750 save percentage with three shutouts to her credit.

Despite playing nine games this season, the weekend's set of matches will just be the third home appearance for the Minutewomen. UMass is 1-1-0 on Rudd Field with a win over Maine and a loss to Central Michigan.

George Mason enters the weekend with an 8-3-0 overall record and a 2-0-0 start in league play. The Patriots are led by Sarah Hardison who has seven goals and two assists for 16 points. She is followed by Alex Myers who has 10 points on three goals and four assists. Kirsten Glad has started every match for Mason posting a 1.49 goals-against-average and a .729 save percentage.

Goerge Washington is 7-4-0 overall and 1-1-0 in the A-10 heading into the weekend. The Colonials are led by MacKenzie Cowley who has seven goals and 14 points. She is followed by Brittany Cooper who has three goals and two assists. Keeper Miranda Horn is the goalie of record with a 0.67 goals-against-average and a .865 save percentage.

Following the two-match homestand, UMass will take back to the road next week with a Thursday, Oct. 13 match at Davidson (7 p.m.) before coming back to New England to face long-time rival Rhode Island on Sunday, Oct. 16 (1 p.m.).
