NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - UMass freshman forward Connor DeVivo has been named the Atlantic 10 Men's Soccer Rookie of the Week after netting the game-winning goal last Friday at Temple.

Playing in just his 4th game of the season, DeVivo made his first collegiate shot count as it proved the game-winner in the 60th minute of play against the Owls. His goal kept UMass unbeaten in league play and set-up Sunday's weekend sweep of Temple and Saint Joseph's.

The Minutemen have now won three straight games in Atlantic 10 play and are second in the league standings with a 4-0-1 record. Charlotte holds first place with a perfect 5-0-0 record.

In the five league games, UMass has allowed just one goal pitching four shutouts.

After being on the road for the last three games, UMass will return home this weekend to host Fordham on Friday (2:30 PM) and La Salle on Sunday (1 PM). The La Salle game will be Senior Day for the Minutemen at Rudd Field.
