UMass Closes Nonconference Slate Against New Hampshire
• UMass closes out its nonconference schedule against the red hot New Hampshire Wildcats on Tuesday afternoon (3 PM) at McGuirk Stadium. The Minutewomen (2-6) are coming off a 13-10 win over Boston College on Saturday, while the Wildcats (7-2) enter the game with a six-game win streak after defeating UMBC in Durham over the weekend. This will be the 37th meeting between the two teams in the longest all-time series for UMass.
• UMass is led by Kaytlin McCormick who has 17 goals and 4 assists for the season. Melynda Zwick ranks second on the team with 5 goals and 5 assists, while Kathleen Typadis is third on the team in scoring with 8 goals and 1 assist.

Last Time Out
• Katylin McCormick and Kathleen Typadis each netted four goals and keeper Colleen Speth made nine saves in goal to pick up her first collegiate win as UMass defeated Boston College 13-10 to snap a six-game losing skid. Draw controls and free position shots were big for the Minutewomen as UMass held an 18-to-7 edge on draws and shot a season-best 6-for-8 on free position shots.
• Saturday's game was played to honor two very special people, Lexie Williams and Judith Theriault. In conjunction with the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation, which works to help children afflicted with pediatric brain tumors, UMass adopted Lexie last year, while Boston College adopted Judith this year. The teams work with the girls offering support and encouragement.
• Donations were accepted at the game with the proceeds going directly to the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation. The foundation takes all proceeds and donates to organizations which work to help children and families who are dealing with pediatric brain tumors.
• Last season, UMass played Northwestern in front of an NCAA regular-season record crowd of 3,075 fans in Yorktown, N.Y., to help raise over $38,000 for the foundation.
Up Next
• UMass will head out on its second longest road trip of the season as the Minutewomen open their Atlantic 10 Conference schedule at Richmond (Friday, 7:30 PM) and at George Washington (Sunday, 12 PM). The Spiders, the three-time defending A-10 Champions, hold a 7-2 all-time record over UMass, while the series with the Colonials is tied 3-3. GW was the surprise team in the A-10 last season as the Colonials split the regular-season title with Richmond.
• Last season, UMass lost at home to both teams. George Washington took a 10-7 win at McGuirk Stadium, while Richmond defeated UMass 10-4.
• UMass last defeated Richmond in 2003 (11-6 and 12-11 in OT) when the Minutewomen were the Atlantic 10 and ECAC Runner-up. The Minutewomen defeated George Washington 11-10 in 2006 on the road which qualified them for the Atlantic 10 Tournament.

• The teams first met in 1976 - the first season of UMass lacrosse - with the Minutewomen winning 9-4 at home. The Wildcats are the only team UMass has faced every season the program has been in existence.
• Outside of regular-season meetings, the two programs have had several memorable postseason meetings: in 1979 the two teams met in the USWLA Championship Tournament (UMass won 5-4 in OT); in 1980 they met in the New England Championship Title Game (UMass won 5-3); and in 1984, 1985, and 1987 the teams played for the ECAC Championship Title (UNH won all three games).

She is one of just 44 players nationally named to the watch list. Typadis entered the 2008 season as the No. 3 active goal scorer in the nation and had scored a goal in 45 consecutive games before being held scoreless at Dartmouth this year.
