The Bolduc Quote Book:
• On Having One Of The Youngest Teams In the Atlantic 10: "It's fun having youth (on the team). They come out with a lot of fire and energy. They bring that onto the field every day and it brings everyone else up around them.
• On freshman Kathleen Typadis' quick start: "You can't ask for anything more. She has a great work ethic."
• On junior Kerri Connerty's leadership: "She is invaluable. Kerri is leader all over the field. We are depending on her and the younger freshmen to bring the group together. She'll do whatever it takes to get the job done. We love having her on the team. I think she is going to do some good things for us this year, not primarily as a point scorer, but as a leader."
• On facing Harvard on Saturday: "It is their first game of the season and it is our third. We have to take advantage of that. We have to take advantage of the first 30 minutes in which they are working out the kinks. We just have to do the small things right against Harvard. The things we unfortunately failed to do against BU were the details, the simple things."
• On team expectations for the season: "From our coaching staff to our players, expectations are high. I think the team connects on and off the field and that has put everyone on the same page with our goals for the season."
• On senior defender Kristin St. Hilaire: "Kristin is a natural leader and a teacher of the game. She has witnessed the program blossom during her career at UMass. She has the patience to teach her peers and that results in her teammates looking to her in pressure situations. She is smart, focused, and has the ability to find a weakness in her opponent and take advantage of it."
